Hi! I’m Megan.

A woman with long wavy brown hair, wearing a white ruffled top and black pants, sitting on a wooden stool against a plain light-colored background, smiling and looking at the camera.

Welcome!

I’m a part-time, certified baby and child sleep consultant, fully insured.

I’m also a full-time qualified, and registered, early childhood teacher here in Taupō, New Zealand.

With my background in early childhood education, I have a strong understanding of child development, behaviour, and emotional needs. I also know sleep is central to the wellbeing of every family. I work closely with families everyday and know how important it is to find a sleep coach that you can trust. I have a passion for being the village you need and helping families, just like you, navigate sleep with confidence.

The online space is overwhelming with misinformation, making sleep more stressful than it needs to be.

I’m so glad you’re here and you found my little corner of the internet. You don’t need more generic advice. You need someone who gets to know you, your child, and personalises solutions that feel sustainable and right for you.

My approach to sleep?

I’ll be honest with you - my approach has changed and evolved since I was certified with Baby Sleep Consultant. I was trained to recommend, and use, traditional sleep training methods. However, I no longer use these methods for several reasons:

  1. Babies are biologically incapable of self soothing.

  2. These methods are rigid and don’t account for individual needs, differences or parental preferences.

  3. You can find these strategies online for free.

I use a holistic, gentle, and responsive approach to sleep that is grounded in evidence. With my background in ECE, you can trust that I value you and have an emphasis on partnership. I understand that you know your child best, so your input is just as important. You can count on my support being family centred and supportive of your wellbeing too.

My approach prioritises connection, emotional wellbeing, and responsiveness. I don’t believe in rigid routines or leaving babies to cry without support. Instead, we will focus on building sustainable sleep habits in a way that feels supportive and achievable for your family.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to babies and sleep. Every child is different, every family is different and the support you receive should reflect that. I’ll work alongside you to create a plan that considers your baby’s temperament, developmental stage, family dynamic and your goals as a parent (just to name a few).

This is a space free from pressure or judgement to help you cut through all of the contradictory and overwhelming advice.

I won’t squeeze your child into a box or force you into strict methods or routines. I look at them as a whole and create solutions that bring you clarity and confidence moving forward.

There’s so much more to sleep than just sleep.
